Election Day in Malawi

I may be out of the country, but today still feels like a momentous day.  The number of cars driving around Lilongwe with Obama stickers must rival many pro-Obama towns in the U.S. and many UNC Project employees were wearing various Obama buttons.  The Obama shirt my mom sent me became an invitation for anyone to stop me and talk to me about the election.  In their words: "Today is a very important day for the world."

I am off to take a nap, then meet the rest of the Americans living in Lilongwe to watch the election returns.
